Martin O’Shaughnessy

Marty joined the Discipline Advisors team in July of 2023 after moving to Minnesota from Chicago. Prior to Discipline Advisors, Marty spent five years at AssetMark, a fee-based Investment Platform and Custodian for Independent Advisors. He consulted with Financial Advisors around the country, helping them transition their business to a Fiduciary model while increasing efficiency and profitability. At Discipline Advisors, Marty helps the team with day-to-day client service, along with supporting the team with general investment research and financial planning.

Marty is a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science Business degree. He furthered his education in the industry by taking investment management courses through the Yale School of Management. Marty currently holds Series 65, 63, 6 and 7 licenses.

Outside of work, Marty enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, playing tennis, and going for walks with his dog Lynette.
