Joseph G. Michaletz
President, Chief Investment Officer
Joe Michaletz is the President and Chief Investment Officer for Discipline Advisors, Inc. and is responsible for planning and implementing the investment strategies for the firm. A twenty year veteran of the financial services industry, Joe enjoys a passion for studying economic trends, researching various investment strategies and selecting and monitoring private money managers. In March of 2006, he formed Discipline Advisors, Inc. an SEC registered investment advisory firm to offer his investment system to his clients. Through his unique investment process, he strives to maximize risk-adjusted returns for his clients. Joe graduated with honors from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelors degree in finance. Joe supports many local charities including the Leave a Legacy Foundation, YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, Schola Foundation and the Mankato Area Catholic School Community. A native of rural Minnesota, Joe, his wife and their three children enjoy many outdoor sporting activities throughout the year. As a private pilot, Joe often flies all over the country to meet with clients.
Jodi K. Tomm, CPA, CFP®
Jodi Tomm provides tax planning for high net worth clients. Jodi began her career with KPMG where she was promoted to Tax Manager. She also served as Vice President at Resource Bank and Trust in Minneapolis providing investment advice and tax planning to high net worth individuals and trusts. Prior to forming Jodi K. Tomm CPA, LLC Jodi was a partner in the public accounting firm of Landgraff, Gates & Tomm. Jodi graduated magna cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a double major in Accounting and Finance and earned her Masters Degree in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota. She has worked in public accounting for more than 20 years and specializes in individual, fiduciary, estate and gift taxation, and financial planning. Jodi is a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, the Financial Planning Association and the Institute of Certified Financial Planners. Jodi and her husband have three children, all of whom are currently in college.
Andrew Weinhaus
Andrew Weinhaus is the managing member of The Law Office of Andrew Weinhaus, LLC, a Clayton, Missouri based law firm and a legal consultant for Discipline Advisors, Inc. His practice focuses exclusively on estate planning, tax strategies and business succession for closely held entities. Mr. Weinhaus is member of the Missouri Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s sections on Taxation and Real Property & Probate. He serves on the adjunct faculty for Washington University’s graduate tax law program teaching a course on advanced deferred compensation. Mr. Weinhaus is a graduate of Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri receiving his Juris Doctoris in 1990 and his LL.M. in Taxation in 1998. He practiced in the Tax Department of the Saint Louis office of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP) where he specialized in the representation of closely held business entities and their owners for tax and wealth transfer planning matters. Mr. Weinhaus left Coopers & Lybrand in 1993 to join the Advanced Underwriting Department of General American Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of MetLife. For over 10 years, as Vice President of Advanced Sales and Marketing, Mr. Weinhaus was involved in wealth transfer planning and business succession strategies for closely held business entities on a nationwide basis. He is the author of a text on estate planning, Generation-Skipping & Life Insurance, originally published by General American Life Insurance Company in 1995.
